JOBSUMMARY & PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS

REPORTSTO: Carpentry Manager

DEPARTMENTNAME: Facilities and Grounds Maintenance

JOB SUMMARY (2-3 sentences ): Safelyoperates vehicles and assists other technicians with any assigned work. Requiredto operate dump trucks, box trucks and flatbed trucks. Maintains vehicles and equipment assigned foruse on the jobs and is able to follow oral and written directions.

PRIMARYJOB FUNCTIONS: List, inthe order of time spent, the essential tasks performed by the position. Employees may be assigned additional dutiesby management as required:

Job Responsibility 1:

Operates dump trucks, box trucks, flatbed trucks and fork lifts.

GENERALRESPONSIBILITIES, REQUIREMENTS, AND IMPACTS

Performs semi-routine work involving set proceduresand rules, but with frequent problems; requires normal attention with shortperiods of concentration for accurate results or occasional exposure to unusualpressure.

IMPACT OFDECISIONS : “ Impact of Decisions” refers toconsequences such as damage to property, loss of data or property, exposure ofthe organization to legal liability, or injury or death to individuals.

EDUCATION ANDEXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS


EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS :“ Education Requirements” refers to job specifictraining and education required for entry into the position.

High School or GED.

LICENSES,CERTIFICATIONS, AND REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED : “ Licenses,Certifications, and Registrations” refers to professional, state, or federallicenses, certifications, or registrations required to enter the position.

Requires current Class BCommercial Drivers’ License.

EXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTS : “ ExperienceRequirements” refers to the amount of work experience that is required forentry into the position that would result in reasonable expectation that theperson can perform the tasks required by the position.

Two years constructionor maintenance experience preferred. Experience driving and operating construction and/or maintenance truckspreferred.

Morespecific degree, certification, and experience requirements will be included inthe position announcement as vacancies occur.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :“ Physical Demands” refers to the requirements forphysical exertion and coordination of limb and body movement.

Requiresheavy work involving exerting up to 100 pounds of force on a frequent basis andexceptional dexterity and skill in operating machinery, tools, or equipment.

UNAVOIDABLEHAZARDS : “ UnavoidableHazards” refers to unusual conditions in the work environment that may causeillness or injury.
