    • Sign-On Bonuses :

    Eligible for a $10,000 sign-on bonus with distance-based relocation available and $2,000 for evening shifts at ASLMC.

Your contributions in the Operating Room will have a lasting impact on our patients.     Schedule / Hours :

    This full-time evening shift position offers 8 or 10-hour shifts, Monday to Friday, with on-call requirements (mainly overnight calls with 1-2 weekends every 8 weeks). On-call requires your arrival within 30 minutes.

    Major Responsibilities :

  • Ensure a safe and sanitized surgical environment using aseptic techniques.
  • Assist with the setup of surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Maintain the operating room's environment and equipment both pre and post-surgery.
  • Act as a Second Assistant in surgeries as needed.
  • Notify staff of any issues with equipment or supplies.
  • Transport patients and / or surgical supplies safely.
  • Ensure specialty carts are well-stocked and fully functional.
  • Be knowledgeable about the care needs of patients across all age groups.

    • Licensure / Certification :

    Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification from the American Heart Association is required within 6 months of hire.

    Education : Completion of an accredited or approved Surgical Technology program.

    Experience : No previous experience required.

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Knowledge of surgical techniques and procedures.
  • Familiarity with equipment used in the operating room.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Basic computer skills.

    • Physical Requirements :

  • Ability to manage a high-stress, fast-paced environment.
  • Physical stamina to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform other physical tasks.
  • Comfortable wearing PPE and standing for long periods.
