A company is looking for a Database Administrator to support the Department of Veterans Affairs in a remote capacity.
Key Responsibilities
Analyze, maintain, and optimize PostgreSQL and Microsoft SQL database environments for availability and data integrity
Manage database architecture, build schemas, and enhance data retrieval efficiency
Collaborate with teams to design, implement, and troubleshoot PostgreSQL database issues
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent discipline
A minimum of 5 years of experience in database administration
Strong proficiency in database performance tuning and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure
Experience with automation tools and scripting languages for infrastructure management
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools for continuous integration and delivery (CI / CD)
