Service Meat and Seafood Clerk

The primary purpose of the Seafood / Meat Service clerk is to provide exceptional customer service and assist customers with seafood / meat selections including cutting, cleaning, and preparing items to customers' specifications. A Seafood / Meat Clerk provides a high level of prompt and friendly customer service, assists customers with questions and special orders, and needs, while maintaining a positive, customer-focused work environment.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Use selling skills and merchandising programs to enhance customer interaction and achieve maximum sales.
• Provides polite friendly greetings and interacts with all customers as they approach the department.
• Prepares knife-ready products for sale (slice, trim, wrap, weigh, and price) according to our standards.
• Assists in product receiving, inventory, and storage.
• Stocks and rotates frozen items, prepared meats, and fresh meat / seafood in the sales area.
• Maintains safety and sanitation standards in all areas that come in contact with meat / seafood and in the prep areas, coolers, freezers, and sales floor.
• Maintains high quality and freshness with products available for sale. Ensures all products are in date.
• Communicates customer's requests / concerns to management.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
