Exact days / times vary by location. Four year degree in education or an applicable subject (ex : English, Math, etc) State or provincial teaching credentials (current or expired) Minimum of one or two years of teaching / tutoring experience preferred Knowledge of phonics and reading comprehension required for reading teachers; Knowledge of math and problem solving strategies required for math teachers Knowledge of common core concepts Please note we do accept applications from college students working towards an education and / or subject specific degree.

Sylvan Learning is looking for ENTHUSIASTIC, HAPPY, FLEXIBLE TEAM PLAYERS WHO LOVE WORKING WITH KIDS. We have a 3 : 1 ratio, personalized instruction, and we prepare your lessons. We are looking for teachers / tutors with expertise in reading, writing, math, high school math, study skills and / or SAT / ACT prep.
- Due to the extensive training and student connections created, we do not offer summer-only employment. We strongly encourage a commitment minimum of 1 year, however a commitment minimum of 6 months is required.

Compensation :
$15-$16 / hour upon completion of training period
