Join the innovative Engineering Team at Fleetio in a key role as a Lead Software Engineer focused on AI Solutions. We are looking for an experienced full-stack professional proficient in Ruby on Rails, eager to build impactful AI-driven solutions. In this influential position, you will collaborate closely with Engineering and Product leaders to shape and execute our AI roadmap while contributing to the efficiency of fleet operations globally.

This role is fully remote, inviting candidates from the United States, Canada, or Mexico to apply.

Who You Are

You are a proactive and dynamic professional who thrives on problem-solving and transforming user experiences through AI solutions. Your affinity for ideation, experimentation, and collaboration enables you to partner effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders while exercising sound judgment.

Your Impact

  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to research, plan, design, and implement features that enhance productivity through AI.
  • Automate manual workflows and generate proactive insights for our users.
  • Develop and test prototypes quickly to validate innovative solutions.
  • Engage with product and engineering peers to ideate and deliver cutting-edge solutions.
  • Analyze complex datasets to uncover patterns and drive the development of accurate solutions.

Your Experience

  • 5+ years of Ruby on Rails experience with a strong grasp of backend architecture and design patterns.
  • Proficiency in React and TypeScript for full-stack contributions.
  • Demonstrated success in building and deploying AI-enabled solutions.
  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning frameworks is a must.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to navigate a highly asynchronous environment.
  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, data science, or related fields.

    • Considered a Plus

  • Experience with Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision technologies.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Advanced understanding of machine learning algorithms (e.g., Linear regression, Decision trees, etc.).
  • Expertise in developing and deploying AI and ML models effectively.
  • Familiarity with user monitoring and analytics tools.
  • Previous experience on a Growth engineering team.
