Business Analyst

The client is currently seeking a dynamic Business Analyst to provide support for billing and finance reporting within their operations. They also must make information accessible to those who need the information to streamline business processes.

The role will include working with the Group Finance team located offshore on monthly reporting as well as ad hoc day to day matters / projects as they arise.

Responsibilities :

• Designing and maintaining systems and databases; this includes fixing coding errors and other data related problems
• Conduct data mining to extract information from data sets and identify correlations and patterns
• Organizing and transforming information into comprehensible structures
• Using data to predict trends in the customer base and the consumer population as a whole
• Performing statistical analysis of data
• Using tools and techniques to visualize data in easy-to-understand formats, such as diagrams and graphs
• Preparing reports and presenting these to management or clients
• Identifying and recommending new ways to save money by streamlining business processes
• Monitoring data quality and removing corrupt data
• Communicating with stakeholders to understand data content and business requirements
• Using statistical tools to interpret data sets, paying particular attention to trends and patterns that could be valuable for diagnostic and predictive analytics efforts
• Preparing reports for executive leadership that effectively communicate trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data

Technical Qualifications

• Technical skills include knowledge of database languages such as SQL, R, or Python
• Spreadsheet tools such as Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets
• Mathematical and statistical skills are also valuable to help gather, measure, organize, and analyze data

• Additional Skills & Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 3 years of business analyst role or similar
• In-depth knowledge of statistical methodologies and analysis techniques
• Attention to detail is a must
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
