JOB SUMMARY / ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS : Under the oversight of the Principal Investigator, the Nurse Practitioner participates in all aspects of healthcare and community and nursing education related to a large Tennessee Department of Health grant. The purpose of the grant is to establish a Mobile Health Unit (MHU) Program that delivers innovative, evidence-based healthcare services to rural populations in Hardeman, Haywood, and Dyer counties onsite and neighboring counties through telehealth. This position delivers care at mobile clinic sites and elsewhere as needed, including, but not limited to, performing physical examinations, diagnosing illness, taking vitals, prescribing medications, scheduling follow-up appointments, and providing healthcare training on various public health topics.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS :
EDUCATION : Master's Degree in Nursing. (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
EXPERIENCE : Two (2) years of clinical work experience. Must have a valid Driver's License and personal vehicle insurance.
LICENSE / CERTIFICATION : Current license to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the State of Tennessee. Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Must meet all state requirements and obtain valid Prescriptive Authority including a DEA certificate. (COPY OF LICENSE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED)
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES :
WORK SCHEDULE : This position may occasionally be required to work weekends and evenings. May require occasional overnight travel.
