About the VP Factoring Operations Position

We are looking for an operations leader to join our team and manage our company's invoice factoring department daily. You will directly manage a team of Purchasing, Collections, Customer Support and Underwriting professionals to ensure and maintain the overall efficiency of our factoring operations. Your primary duties will include managing and motivating your team, as well as mediating client disputes and resolution of issues. We expect you to be tried and tested operations professional and be able to lead a team with extreme efficacy.

Your Role

Own the full factoring operation - invoice intake, payments, funding, collections, support and underwriting. Oversee both debtor and carrier underwriting, including UCC management and credit concentration risk. Ensure compliance, fraud prevention, and adherence to industry best practices. Maintain and grow relationships with customers. Work with sales to oversee growth of customer accounts. Define and monitor KPIs across turnaround times, accuracy, client satisfaction, and collections. Continuously evaluate and improve workflows to increase speed and reduce errors. Represent operations in leadership meetings and provide regular updates on performance and risks.

What We're Looking For

Industry Experience : 5+ years in freight factoring or transportation finance, with direct exposure to factoring operations. Leadership : Proven ability to manage multi-functional teams across Purchasing, Collections, Underwriting, and Support. Risk & Compliance Expertise : Strong understanding of UCCs, credit underwriting, fraud prevention, and debtor concentration management. Operational Mindset : Demonstrated success in building and scaling operational processes in a high-volume environment. Tech-Forward : Excited to work with engineers and leverage automation. SQL / Metabase / PowerBI skills are a plus.
