We are seeking a talented and experienced Tax Supervisor / Senior to join a well established and stable accounting firm here in the Triad.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 4 years of experience in a firm, demonstrating proficiency in tax compliance, preparation, and review for Subchapter S corporations, partnerships, and individuals.

While a CPA is preferred, it is not a strict requirement. The Tax Supervisor / Senior will play a vital role in overseeing tax-related activities, including projections, research on complex tax issues, and utilizing tax software such as Drake.

Responsibilities :

Tax Return Preparation and Review :

Lead the preparation and / or review of Subchapter S business returns, Partnership business returns, and Individual returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.

Tax Projections and Estimated Taxes :

Play a key role in the preparation of tax projections and calculations of estimated taxes, contributing to strategic planning for clients.

State and Local Tax Expertise :

Demonstrate expertise in State and Local tax matters, ensuring compliance and staying abreast of relevant regulations for clients operating in various jurisdictions.

Research and Scenario Development :

Conduct thorough research on complex tax issues, providing valuable insights and developing scenarios to optimize tax positions for clients.

Tax Software Utilization :

Utilize tax software, including Drake or similar tools, efficiently to streamline the tax preparation and filing processes.

QuickBooks Proficiency :

Showcase familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software, leveraging it effectively to support clients in managing their financial records.

Supervision and Training :

Provide guidance and supervision to junior staff, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.

Client Interaction :

Collaborate with clients to gather necessary information, address inquiries, and provide expert guidance on tax-related matters.

Qualifications :

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in a firm.

CPA preferred but not required.

Proven experience in the preparation and review of Subchapter S, Partnership, and Individual tax returns.

Proficiency in tax software, preferably Drake or similar tools.

Familiarity with QuickBooks accounting software.

State and Local tax experience.

Strong research skills and the ability to develop comprehensive tax scenarios.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay : $72, – $80, per year
