Shipping Lead

The Shipping Lead will oversee daily operations in the receiving and shipment of high-quality dairy products by coordinating and guiding assigned team members. This role actively participates in product selection, staging, rotation, loading, and shipment while maintaining compliance with all GMP and housekeeping policies. The Shipping Lead plays a key role in ensuring efficiency, safety, and product integrity throughout the warehouse.

• Enforce all safety rules, GMP standards, and company policies through consistent leadership and example.
• Plan, organize, and allocate resources (employees, materials, equipment, and time) to effectively meet load-out, quality, and safety objectives.
• Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate goals, updates, and priorities.
• Coordinate product and resource availability with the production department to ensure smooth operations.
• Actively participate in waste-reduction initiatives; accurately document and monitor waste tracking records.
• Lead and support continuous improvement efforts as assigned.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation across all work areas.
• Ensure completion and accuracy of all required process control documentation.
• Oversee all incoming and outgoing shipments to verify accuracy, product condition, and compliance with company standards.
• Train, mentor, and support new employees in department procedures and job responsibilities.
• Provide coverage for various positions and shifts within the department as needed.
• Foster a workplace culture that is clean, organized, safe, positive, and aligned with the company's mission, vision, guiding principles, and values.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The work environment may require working in the cooler room with varying degrees of temperature and may include contact with water or dairy liquids. Exposed to a noise level of 90 decibels. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate / high. Wet / slippery work conditions.
