Job Title: IT Infrastructure Lead Engineer Location: Manchester, New Hampshire Experience: 12+ Years Employment Type: Contract Interview Type: In-Person or Webcam Job Description We are seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Lead Engineer to oversee the planning, deployment, and management of enterprise infrastructure services. The ideal candidate will guide infrastructure initiatives, ensure stable and secure technology operations, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support long-term scalability goals. This role will require strong leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and the ability to drive modernization and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end infrastructure strategy, planning, implementation, and maintenance across data centers, cloud environments, and network systems. Oversee server, storage, virtualization, and backup operations to ensure high availability and performance. Manage infrastructure security controls, patching, monitoring, and compliance with corporate standards. Evaluate and enhance system reliability, capacity, performance, and disaster recovery solutions. Lead infrastructure design and architecture reviews for new and existing systems. Collaborate with internal technical teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to deliver optimized solutions. Mentor and support infrastructure and system engineering teams. Drive automation efforts to reduce manual processes and improve operational efficiency. Manage critical incident escalations, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis. Maintain documentation, infrastructure roadmaps, and operational process improvements. Required Skills and Qualifications 12+ years of experience in IT infrastructure engineering and operations leadership. Strong knowledge of data center technologies, server management (Windows, Linux), virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), storage systems, and enterprise networking. Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Expertise in disaster recovery, system monitoring, performance tuning, and capacity planning. Solid understanding of security standards, firewalls, identity management, and network routing. Experience with automation and scripting using tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, or Ansible. Proven leadership experience managing infrastructure teams and large-scale environments. Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle high-priority incidents. Excellent analytical, communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field; advanced certification is a plus (VMware, CCNA/CCNP, Azure/AWS Architect, ITIL, etc
