LHH is recruiting a temporary attorney for a 6 month, part-time (20 hours per week) assignment for a downtown Cleveland law firm. The temporary attorney will assist with union / collective bargaining matters. Preference is for on-site work in Cleveland. Remote option for Ohio barred attorneys that reside in Ohio. Responsibilities :

• Strategic advice : Provide legal guidance to clients on collective bargaining strategies, including analyzing contracts, grievance history, and arbitration awards.
• Negotiation : Represent clients (either for management or a union) during collective bargaining negotiations, either at the bargaining table or behind the scenes.
• Contract management : Draft, review, and administer collective bargaining agreements.
• Dispute resolution : Represent clients in grievance and arbitration proceedings.
• Legal compliance : Ensure clients understand and comply with all relevant federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, such as the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA).
• Client counseling : Educate management on how to properly and effectively administer the CBA and communicate with union officials.
• NLRB proceedings : Represent clients in proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, such as unit clarification or decertification.
