Machine Operator / Cutting Technician

Job Description

Advanced Personnel Resources is seeking a Cutting Technician for a furniture manufacturing company in High Point. Candidate should have atleast 2 years of experience, preferably using a Lectra Q25 cutting machine.

1st shift = 7am-3 : 30pm M-F

Pay = $16-21 / hour

Experience :

2 years experience in the furniture industry, cutting fabric.

Computer / Technical knowlesge required (Windows, Excel, PDF, Outlook)

Experience with CAD files is a plus.

RESPONSBIBILITIES

• Pick the fabric rolls for cutting proposes
• Inspect material for defects prior to cutting
• Cut layers of fabric for multilayers cutting
• Feed the cutting machine with the layers
• Select the correct placement files in the machine software
• Unload the cutting machine
• Bundle the cut pieces for sewers
• Mark for defects, place and cut leather hives manually
• Setting up and shutting down the cutting machine
• Supports and assists sewers whenever necessary
• Inspect quality from domestic suppliers
• Basic maintenance upkeep of the cutting machine
• Assisting with Inventory
• Follow directives as given by the Production Supervisor
