Position Summary : We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Carpenter Mechanic. In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing building hardware, including, but not limited to doors, windows, floors and ceilings, adhering to accepted procedures and techniques of the carpenter trade.

Job Responsibilities :

• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Installations and repairs Installs, maintains and repairs floors as requested by Medical Center departments. Modifies doors and installs vision panels. Installs and repairs sheetrock walls and partitions. Replaces and install ceiling systems.
• Construction - Constructs and repairs structural woodwork. Builds, repairs and installs counters, cabinets, benches, partitions, floors, hang sheetrock, trim work, bumpers, and shelving as requested by various departments. Handles all house calls that pertain to all listed above.
• Inspections - Responsible for determining material, equipment and tools needed for specific job.
• Job completion records - Submits completed house calls and PMRs to respective foreman for filing and charges.

Minimum Qualifications : To qualify you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Five years of experience. Trade or vocational school graduation shall reduce the above requirement to four years.

Preferred Qualifications : None.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $104,439.45 - $104,439.45 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses / incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
