Senior Director, Conferences & Schools

American Bankers Association (ABA) is seeking a senior director to develop and plan industry educational content and manage training events including residential schools, conferences, workshops, and banking simulations. The role ensures events meet financial performance goals, revenue targets, and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

• Select and manage volunteer banker boards and committees supporting assigned programs.
• Collaborate with event stakeholders to develop event content, facilitate volunteer boards, and manage planning meetings, contracts, and succession.
• Develop product and target audience analyses and strategic plans with senior staff.
• Oversee financial management of events, including competitive analysis, market intelligence, personnel, marketing, and contracts.
• Work with Business Development Manager to create sponsorship and exhibit opportunities.
• Lead on-site delivery staff and serve as primary liaison with faculty, speakers, and advisory boards to ensure event delivery standards.
• Partner with Meeting and Marketing Managers to develop and manage annual budgets and resolve discrepancies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Target Salary Range

$118,000 - $125,000

Salary Band Range

$93,675.00 - $127,620.00 - $161,565.00
