CommonBond Communities invites qualified applicants to apply for the Director of IT position at our Central Office site in Saint Paul, MN. The Director of IT is a strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing CBC's technology infrastructure, operations, and support to ensure IT systems align with organizational goals. This role will ensure all technical systems function efficiently and securely while driving continuous improvements that enhance operational effectiveness. In addition to setting strategy, the Director will take a hands-on approachassessing current systems, making informed recommendations, and directly implementing necessary enhancements. They will lead a small internal IT team and manage outsourced vendors, with responsibilities spanning strategic planning, technology oversight, project and vendor management, budgeting, security, and data management. The role also includes developing and maintaining disaster recovery and business continuity plans. They will be a proactive doer who is comfortable evaluating the existing technology environment as well as rolling up their sleeves to troubleshoot issues and implement solutions. Working closely with leaders across the organization, the Director supervises both internal and external resources, ensuring technology enables CBC's mission and long-term impact. This leader will balance high-level vision with hands-on execution to ensure systems are well-assessed, well-designed, and effectively implemented. Reporting Relationships The Director of IT reports to the Vice President of Corporate Services and is responsible for managing a team of 2 staff, comprised of one employee and one open position. The Director is also responsible for overseeing a large, outsourced vendor contract that performs the core functions of the IT department.
