Job Description

As a Security Officer - Hospital Dispatch in Walnut Creek, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Dispatch professional at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help maintain a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your responsibilities include conducting routine patrols, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents, and providing exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do :

  • Monitor and operate communication systems to receive and relay information regarding security-related incidents within the healthcare location.
  • Dispatch security personnel to various areas as needed in response to incidents, emergencies, or requests for assistance.
  • Maintain accurate records of all calls, incidents, and activities handled during the shift.
  • Provide customer service by assisting staff, patients, and visitors with security-related concerns and information.
  • Work collaboratively with on-site staff and Allied Universal team members to address and resolve security-related issues.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site-specific procedures and protocols.
  • Support regular and random patrols by coordinating communication and tracking personnel movements throughout the location.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Vaccinations are required for hospital positions.
  • Ability to restrain individuals is required for hospital positions.
  • Lifting up to 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
