About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Financial Crimes Defender R&D team. The team builds cloud?native containerized microservices and web applications that power a mission?critical fraud detection platform. The Engineer will design, develop, test, and support back?end services and web applications, collaborating with multiple teams and driving best practices across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Perform and sometimes lead system analysis and programming activities, delivering high?quality software into production.
• Provide technical and engineering support for new and existing applications from code delivery until retirement.
• Develop, test, and review applications based on business requirements and industry best practices.
• Use best practices and standard guidance to create and modify code.
• Consider how code changes affect end users and internal teams; review code from junior team members when required.
• Collaborate with QA to ensure timely delivery of high?quality products.
• Work across teams on projects, leading when necessary.
• Manage critical tasks independently, setting and updating expectations on scope and timelines.
• Participate in team meetings and cross?functional discussions.
• Create required technical documentation.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending innovative solutions.
• Adhere to departmental and corporate standards; participate in definition and documentation of standards.
• Lead unit and integration tests to ensure software reliability, security, and performance.
• Debug and troubleshoot issues, providing timely resolutions.
• Contribute to product architecture as needed.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
