Senior Accountant

Location : West Valley City, UT 100% onsite

Salary : $75,000 – $90,000 / year

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting monthly close activities, and providing insights that drive business decisions.

What You’ll Do :

Perform bank reconciliations and record related journal entries

Manage fixed assets, including additions, disposals, and monthly depreciation

Prepare and file sales, use, and payroll tax reports for applicable states

Record and pay property taxes as required

Prepare payroll distribution entries and ensure accuracy

Complete monthly account reconciliations and maintain schedules for accruals and prepaids

Post journal entries as needed and analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities

Prepare variance analyses comparing actual results to business plans

Present financial trends using charts and graphs

Identify process improvements and control gaps

Perform other duties as assigned

What We’re Looking For :

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and accounting software

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Professional demeanor and appearance

Ability to read, write, and comprehend English instructions and information

Working Conditions :

Full-time, salaried, on-site position (8am–5pm, occasional extended hours during reporting periods)

Exempt from overtime under federal wage-hour law

Physical activity may include lifting up to 35 pounds, stooping, kneeling, reaching, and handling materials

Office work with computer, telephone, and paperwork
