Position Overview
We are looking for a Busser to support our wait staff and set up our dining areas. Busser responsibilities include serving plates, glasses and silverware, refilling beverages and cleaning tables. Ultimately, you will ensure our daily operations run smoothly and our guests have a pleasant dining experience.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :
- Prepare dining areas before guests are seated
- Place tableware and condiments on tables
- Remove dirty utensils and replenish, as needed
- Clean and reset tables after guests leave
- Maintain health and safety regulations at all kitchen and dining areas
- Maintains menu presentation by keeping menus clean; replacing damaged or soiled pages; cleaning chalkboards; lettering specials on chalkboards.
- Maintains table setting by removing courses as completed; replenishing utensils; refilling water glasses; being alert to Guest spills or other special needs.
- Supports wait staff by setting-up and replenishing condiment stands, trash containers, liners, and bus stations.
- Closes dining facility by cleaning chairs and tables; sweeping and / or vacuuming floors; removing trash and recyclables from the facility.
- Updates job knowledge by participating in team member training opportunities.
- Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Skills and Abilities Required
Work experience as a Busser, Food Runner or other entry-level role in a restaurant is a plusFlexibility to work in shifts, including weekends, evenings and holidaysUnderstanding of hygiene and food safety rulesPhysical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hoursAbility to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environmentThe physical demands for this position are to stand for long periods, walk, bend, lift at least 25 pounds and move on an ongoing basis during working hours within a fast-paced environmentEducation and Experience Required
