Engineering Intern Summer 2026 (Civil or Environmental)

What we are looking for

SCS Engineers is looking for a summer 2026 intern for our Bedford TX office. This opportunity offers valuable hands-on experience in both technical engineering and business operations through a diverse range of client projects while giving you the chance to explore the beginnings of your own career path.

As an intern youll work alongside experienced professionals on projects centered around civil engineering principals (i.e. site development drainage soil mechanics fluid mechanics etc.) with emphasis on solid waste facilities including but not limited to landfill liner gas collection system and drainage design permitting and construction; transfer station design and permitting; geotechnical analyses and subsurface investigations; site development; and sustainability projects. You will typically work 40 hours per week.

How you can make an impact

You will contribute to our projects by assisting SCS project teams with the following tasks :

• Construction observation and documentation
• Environmental and construction materials sample collection
• Laboratory data management and review
• Surveying
• Reporting and calculation preparation
• CAD drafting

Qualifications

Pay Range

USD $20.00 - USD $23.00 / Hr.
