Security Officer - Logistics Access Gate

As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal you will help to deter security-related incidents at a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entrances and exits conducting routine patrols and remaining highly visible to support a secure environment. You will also provide outstanding customer service and communication embodying our values of teamwork integrity and innovation while putting people first.

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies including access control and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Monitor and control entry and exit points to help to deter unauthorized access to the logistics and distribution location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm problem-solving manner following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter potential security-related issues.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities observations and incidents as required by site procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with staff visitors and delivery personnel to address inquiries and provide guidance related to access control procedures.
  • Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site leadership to support the overall security-related objectives of the logistics and distribution environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
