As a Surgical Technician, you will play a crucial role in the perioperative experience, assisting with patient care and ensuring a safe and sterile environment during surgical procedures. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following : Assisting registered nurses with scrub and related duties, maintaining the immediate sterile field and instrumentation. Preparing operating rooms for surgical procedures and organizing materials according to the specific needs of the patient, procedure, and surgeon. Assisting nursing and anesthesia staff, and managing inventory and equipment maintenance. Implementing safety measures to maintain a secure environment for patients. Conducting sterilization of equipment and instruments as needed. Demonstrating knowledge and adherence to protocols regarding asepsis, infection prevention, and equipment safety. Participating in room turnover processes to ensure minimal downtime between cases. Meeting performance expectations for customer service, teamwork, and professional development. Qualifications Education : High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Graduate of an approved school of Allied Health or Surgical Technology required. CPR Certification required.
