Warehouse And Logistics Manager
Advanced knowledge of warehouse and domestic and international transportation
Provide guidance to all levels of the warehousing & logistics organization.
Ensure compliance to all warehousing and logistics policies and procedures
Solid knowledge of business concepts / principles (terms and conditions, transportation, accounting)
ISO or equivalent system, understanding procedures and requirements and change control.
Proficient ERP knowledge and experience in a manufacturing environment
Directs duties and assignments to junior level employees
Proficient in Hazardous shipping guidelines IATA and DOT Compliance
Communicates effectively with internal employees and supervisor with problem solve challenges and issues.
Advanced knowledge of production schedules and kitting requirements in support of manufacturing
Job encounters varying work situations, involving moderate complexity. Considerable independent judgment and initiative are required in resolving problems and making recommendations. Must demonstrate judgment, tact and diplomacy in dealing with internal and external customers. Initiative and organization skills are extremely valuable to ensure a smooth office operation. May determine methods and procedures on new assignments.
Exercises judgment within broadly defined practices and policies. Directs methods and techniques to obtaining solutions to problems of relatively routine to diverse scope and moderate to highly complexity, requiring analysis of identifiable factors.
Has contact with all levels of company employees as well as frequent interaction with suppliers.
Receives technical and functional input as appropriate.
Responsible for leading physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Supervises employees are performing all necessary steps required for incoming receipts. May use (but not limited to) power equipment such as a forklift, hand tools, and other devices operated in a warehouse environment. This position is not responsible for operating delivery trucks which require a Commercial Drivers License. Prepares and maintains records of merchandise shipped. Posts weights and shipping charges and prepares goods for final shipment. Examines stocks and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines. May prepare kitting packages for assembly production
3 - 7 years business experience
High school diploma or GED (General Education Diploma) equivalency
