Fluency with Bentley MicroStation / OpenRoads and AutoCAD Civil 3D. In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and local survey regulations. High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's in surveying or civil tech preferred. Subsurface utility locating / designating expertise. Experience with LiDAR, aerial mapping, or sUAS operations. Licensed Land Surveyor Manager - Thomaston, GA (onsite with periodic field visits; occasional travel)
Position Summary
Lead survey operations for our civil and transportation projects. This senior-level position manages multiple fields crews, oversees project delivery, and drives client development while enjoying the stability of an employee-owned firm ranked for top-tier benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and supervise daily activities of several field crews and office technicians.
- Enforce QA / QC, manage budgets, schedules, and client expectations.
- Coordinate with VDOT and local municipalities on roadway and utility corridor surveys.
- Grow regional business through proposal support and relationship building.
- Coach staff through regular one-on-one sessions and performance planning.
