About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for its family office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting and financial reporting for the family office, managing the family real estate portfolio, and monitoring investment portfolios. This role also involves leading cash flow management, and liquidity planning, and ensuring clear financial communications with family members. The CFO will be expected to have a strong background in entrepreneurial settings, experience in mergers and acquisitions, and a hands-on approach to day-to-day financial operations.
Applicants for the CFO position at the family office should have a Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA or MBA preferred. A minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting and finance, particularly in family offices, real estate, oil & gas, and nonprofit sectors, is strongly preferred. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in financial management, a deep understanding of GAAP, tax regulations, and industry-specific compliance, particularly in the oil & gas and foundation sectors. The ideal CFO will be highly adaptable, strategic, collaborative, and an exceptional communicator, with the ability to work closely with family members and external advisors. High ethical standards, discretion, and a commitment to confidentiality are essential.
