How you’ll make an impact
- Own setups and production on 3–4 axis vertical mills to achieve exacting specifications.
- Translate drawings and GD&T into tooling, workholding, and G‑code strategies.
- Optimize runs with thoughtful offsets, tool changes, and in-process checks.
- Keep machines dependable with routine maintenance and quick problem resolution.
- Confirm accuracy using calipers, micrometers, and other precision instruments.
- Collaborate with peers to streamline steps and elevate quality and throughput.
- Champion a safe and orderly workspace by following safety procedures.
What success looks like in your first months
Confidently setting up Okuma VMCs, including A‑axis rotary configurations.Producing first-article parts that meet GD&T requirements without rework.Consistently hitting quality targets while maintaining efficient cycle times.Your background
High school diploma or equivalent; machining coursework or certification preferred.5+ years of CNC milling experience with emphasis on setups; familiarity with A‑axis rotary tables and Okuma controls strongly preferred.Expertise in reading blueprints and applying GD&T.Solid understanding of standard CNC G‑codes.Comfortable using precision measurement tools for verification.Team-oriented self-starter with strong attention to detail.Proactive problem solver who takes ownership.CNC programming capability to create and edit programs as needed.Tools & machines
