Responsibilities:
As the Director of Culinary Services, you will oversee the food service program, ensuring the highest quality standards in food preparation and safety. Your role will include managing the dining experience, adhering to facility menus, and complying with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead the food service team to uphold quality and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of income, expenditures, food supplies, and staff while utilizing HCSG software.
- Conduct staff training and quality control sessions; perform duties as needed in various kitchen roles.
- Ensure effective communication of directives from client managers and HCSG leadership to the team.
- Follow safety protocols and report equipment needs promptly.
- Adhere to infection control and sanitation practices to maintain a clean environment.
- Demonstrate consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Represent HCSG positively through teamwork and courteous interactions.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in food service management or related fields preferred.
- Two years of experience in food service and supervision preferred.
- Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) certification preferred (as per state law).
- Must obtain Food Protection Manager (FPM) certification within 14 days of employment.
- Must obtain Food Service Manager (FSM) and Long-Term Care Food Service (LTC-FSM) certifications within 60 days of employment.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Positive attitude and effective communication with staff and residents.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Ability to lift/carry or push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, and perform various physical tasks.
- Basic computer skills for maintaining records and completing reports.
- Must be a resident within the service area.
