[job_card.job_description]simple and complex dental rehabilitations; treatment of the severely worn dentition; treatment of orofacial trauma; treatment planning for preprosthetic surgery; restoration of osseointegrated dental implants; diagnostic procedures consistent with the practice of Prosthodontics; treatment of cosmetic and functional defects resulting from service trauma and other procedures consistent with the practice of Prosthodontics. The individual must be proficient in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and post-treatment care in all the above areas. They must be trained and competent in providing Basic life Support (BLS). They must be able to manage medically complex patients and provide appropriate prosthodontic treatment. The individual must be able to work collegially with other dentists and physicians, and should possess the skills, both interpersonal and professional, to work with residents in Prosthodontics, other dental specialties and Advanced General Dentistry. Assignment includes advanced understanding and use of the computerized record system. DDS or DM from a school approved by Secretary of VA, AND Completion of, or currently completing, a residency program in general practice or specialty, or comparable experience as a dentist actively involved in treating medically compromised patients, AND Hold a license at time of appointment in any US state or territory Preferred : Master of Science in Dentistry MS / MSD Salary $235,000 - $315,000 Regular cost of living pay increases and eligible for annual performance bonuses 50-55 days of paid time off (including annual leave, sick leave, and 11 Federal holidays) Federal health / dental / vision / long-term care insurance offered Family-friendly city with low cost of living and affordable housing in green, beautiful neighborhoods Abundant historical / cultural sites and events including the Carnegie Museums (Art, Natural History, Science, and Andy Warhol), a multitude of other visual / performing arts institutions, and a lively music scene featuring local, national, and international stars. Description : The VA in Pittsburgh seeks a highly qualified, board-certified Prosthodontist to care for Veterans at our HJ Heinz campus in Aspinwall, PA. The practitioner will provide services in assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and post-treatment care.
