Job Title : IT Project Manager
Job Summary
The IT Project Manager oversees the planning, execution, and delivery of technology projects across the organization. This role ensures projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while coordinating cross-functional teams, managing risks, and promoting clear communication between stakeholders. The position requires strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end project lifecycle activities including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, monitoring, and closure
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, timelines, and resource requirements
- Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams including IT, business units, vendors, and external partners
- Develop and maintain project plans, status reports, risk assessments, and communication plans
- Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure cost control
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate project risks and issues
- Facilitate meetings, workshops, and project discussions to drive alignment and decision-making
- Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and up to date
- Implement project management methodologies and best practices (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid)
- Ensure high-quality project delivery that meets business requirements and stakeholder expectations
- Oversee vendor relationships, contracts, and third-party deliverables
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO or IT organization
Required Qualifications and Experience
3–5+ years of experience managing technology projectsProven experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)Strong technical understanding of IT systems, infrastructure, applications, and software development lifecyclesProficiency with project management tools (Jira, Trello, MS Project, Asana, Monday.com, etc.)Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsPreferred Qualifications
Project management certifications such as PMP, CAPM, PMI-ACP, or Scrum MasterExperience working with cross-functional IT teams, software engineering teams, or digital transformation initiativesFamiliarity with change management frameworks and processesExperience in vendor management and contract negotiationEducation
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Project Management, or a related field preferredEquivalent work experience will be consideredSoft Skills
