Network Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer. In this role, you’ll be instrumental in developing and maintaining cutting-edge communication networks to support a DOD Air Force Program. This position is fully on-site in Hampton, VA and has a Top Secret Level Clearance.

Responsibilities of the Network Engineer include :

• Design and develop voice, video, radio frequency, and data communications networks to support mission-critical operations.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex network issues to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to team members and less-experienced engineers.
• Define network specifications, input / output processes, and hardware / software compatibility parameters.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of emerging technologies and best practices in network engineering.
• Support Data Center operations and virtualization initiatives with a focus on scalability and efficiency.
• Implement and manage network automation techniques to streamline operations and reduce manual tasks.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives related to advanced command and control systems.
• Ensure compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) standards and security requirements.
