Job Description
CNC Machinist – Columbia, SC We’re seeking a CNC Machinist for a metal fabrication and machine shop located in Columbia, SC. This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position offering long-term stability and opportunity for advancement.
Schedule & Pay Monday through Friday, 7 : 00 AM – 4 : 00 PMPay : $20.00 / hr
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain CNC machines (lathe and / or mill) to produce precision parts according to blueprints and specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, routers, and work orders to verify part numbers, revision levels, and materials
- Load raw materials and monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet dimensional accuracy and quality standards
- Measure parts using precision tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Perform machine setups, tool changes, and basic troubleshooting as needed
- Inspect and document production results, maintaining accurate records
- Conduct daily maintenance and cleaning of CNC machines
- Follow all safety procedures and company ISO standards for quality and production
