Controller Position
We are looking for an experienced Controller to join a growing organization in Raleigh, North Carolina. The ideal candidate will lead a team of accounting professionals, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while providing strategic financial insights to drive business success.
Responsibilities :
- Lead and manage a team of eight accounting professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes for both entities.
- Ensure the integrity of the general ledger, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Facilitate the annual audit process and maintain relationships with external accounting partners.
- Provide hands-on support for daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory, and fixed assets.
- Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting to ensure financial stability.
- Implement and improve internal controls and accounting processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Deliver actionable financial insights to support decision-making and profitability enhancements.
- Collaborate with operational leadership to align financial strategies with business goals.
- Evaluate and provide financial input on new business opportunities, capital projects, and growth initiatives.
Requirements :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Minimum of seven years of progressive accounting experience, including managing accounting teams.Proven expertise in multi-entity and multi-location operations; experience in the restaurant or real estate industries is preferred.Strong knowledge of GAAP accounting, financial reporting, and profit and loss management.Hands-on leadership approach with the ability to oversee and execute accounting tasks.Demonstrated ability to improve processes, implement systems, and scale accounting functions.Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.Experience in cash flow management, budgeting, and forecasting.
