We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer to join our Building Design Group in our Richmond, VA office.  As a Mechanical Project Engineer, you will be a key player in completing the design and construction administration for small to medium-sized projects, as well as collaborating within larger design teams for substantial projects. We are looking for a highly experienced mechanical engineer with in-depth knowledge of various mechanical system designs, including DX packaged systems, hydronic systems, chilled water plants, heating water plants, and plumbing.

Responsibilities :

• Construction Documentation : Develop plans, sections, schedules, details, controls, cost estimates, and specifications for mechanical systems.
• Engineering Design Analysis : Conduct mechanical system selection, energy and life cycle cost analysis, and ensure designs meet energy and sustainable design targets.
• Team Engagement : . Coordinate with other disciplines and project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
• Technical Expertise :   Develop control strategies, calculations, system concepts, layouts, and designs.
• Mentorship :   Provide guidance, mentorship, and technical support to junior engineers and staff members, fostering their professional growth.
