Talent4Health is seeking a travel Surgical Technologist for a travel job in Lancaster, Ohio.

Responsibilities :

Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nurses during surgical procedures.

Prepare the operating / procedure room and surgical equipment.

Maintain sterile technique, pass instruments, and control OR equipment (lights, bovie, suction).

Assist with safe patient transfer and positioning to prevent injury.

Participate in physician-led time-outs and initiate emergency procedures, including BLS.

Ensure patient rights, privacy, and HIPAA compliance.

Collaborate with OR team members and participate in pre- and post-operative planning.

Attend unit / division / committee meetings as assigned.

Maintain cleanliness, equipment readiness, and report malfunctions.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives (e.g., Six Sigma methodology).

Complete yearly competencies and self-development goals.

Requirements : Experience :

Must have Open Heart / cardiac surgery experience.

Previous OR experience preferred.

Certifications :

Surgical Technologist Certification (CST) – Required

CPR / BLS certification – Required

Education :

High school diploma or GED

Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program

Skills / Abilities :

Strong clinical skills in ambulatory and inpatient care

Good interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills

Ability to handle multiple priorities and work independently
