Job Summary

The Certified Nursing Assistant / Home Health Aide / Direct Support Professional will provide support to clients with disabilities, mental illness and behavior management.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provides direct care to those with mental need
  • Performs personal care tasks, including assistance with basic personal hygiene, grooming, medical monitoring and health care related tasks
  • Fosters positive relationships between caretakers and clients served
  • Ensures client safety and maintaining a safe environment
  • Reminds and assists clients with self-administration of medications
  • Encourages self-help activities
  • Reports changes in client's condition or family situation to administrators and supervisors
  • Document daily activities and services provided
  • Performs home management functions such as light housekeeping, laundry, bed making and cleaning
  • Communicate concerns of the clients to the Registered Nurse
  • Plans meals, shopping for groceries, preparing and serving food / meals, feeding and clean-up.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Ability to demonstrate adequate verbal and written skills
  • Ability to navigate basic computer skills
  • Ability to work in a group home, home-like settings

    • Education, Experience and Licensing Requirements

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license

    • Job Types : Full time, Part time

    Available Shifts : 7am - 3pm, 3pm - 11pm & 11pm - 7am

    Pay : $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
