AUTOMATIC BAR & CHUCKING

Bedford PA

2nd shift : 3pm - 11pm (M-F)

PURPOSE OF THE POSITION :

Operate automatic bar & chucking machines to produce finished bodies.

KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE :

  • high school diploma or general equivalency diploma;
  • Completion of basic math blueprint reading and gauge-reading training;
  • The ability to understand written and oral instructions and communicate with supervisors and coworkers;
  • A forklifts operators license.

JOB ACTIVITIES :

  • Operates chucker(s) at optimal level to meet or exceed established daily production rates;
  • Inspect machined tools visually and with the use of gauges micrometers calipers etc.;
  • Recognize change and replace worn tooling make adjustments as needed;
  • Prepare for and assist the Set-up person in machine changeover;
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance procedures;
  • Work as fill-in for machine operators as needed.
