As a member of the Prairie Sky Breads kitchen crew, you will play a crucial role in our culinary operations. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks related to food preparation, cooking, and maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment. Here's an overview of the key responsibilities and qualifications:

Responsibilities:

1. Daily Prep of Ingredients: Prepare and portion ingredients required for the day's menu items.

2. Line Cook: Skillfully assemble sandwiches, soups, and salads to our quality standards.

3. Cleaning: Maintain a clean and organized kitchen area, including equipment and utensils.

4. Food Safety: Adhere to food safety protocols to ensure the health and well-being of our customers.

5. Learning New Recipes: Be open to learning and adapting to new recipes and culinary techniques.

6. Occasional Dish Washing: Assist with dishwashing as needed.

7. Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service operations.

8. Shift Coverage: Be willing to help cover shifts and work together to meet the demands of our busy kitchen.

9. Reliability: Avoid last-minute call-outs and provide at least 24-hour notice for any schedule changes.

10. Break Policy: Follow the company's break policy to ensure appropriate rest periods during shifts.

11. Food Handler's Card: Possess or be willing to obtain a valid food handler's card.

12. Preferred Basic Kitchen Knowledge or Experience: Previous experience or basic knowledge of kitchen operations is a plus.
