Location

This position is  on-site full-time in Albion, MI  - a close-knit community offering an affordable cost of living and easy access to larger metro areas like Ann Arbor, Lansing, and Kalamazoo.  Relocation assistance is available.

Note  Candidates must have a  PE license  (Structural Engineering license preferred). Experience in cold-formed steel design and CAD standards is highly desirable.

Job Description

Serve as an upper-level structural engineer supporting solar and industrial projects.

Perform detailed structural analysis and design across multiple materials and systems.

Review and approve design calculations, reports, and drawings.

Collaborate with senior engineers to define project scope and schedules.

Supervise 3-5 engineers and drafters to ensure timely, accurate deliverables.

Develop cold-formed steel shop drawings and ensure CAD standards are maintained.

Apply IBC, AWC, AISC, ACI, ASCE, and AISI standards to project designs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).

Licensed Professional Engineer (SE a plus).

5+ years of structural engineering experience.

Familiarity with cold-formed steel, solar mounting systems, and design codes.

Leadership capability and desire to grow into a director-level role.
