Academic Medical Center in New England Hiring Endovascular-Trained Neurosurgeon

A prestigious University is looking to expand its neurosurgery faculty by hiring a research-focused PhD or MD / PhD physician. This is a primarily research position, however, some clinical time may be considered. The university is very supportive of groundbreaking research in the neurosciences. As this is an academic position, there will be ample opportunity to teach medical students, residents, and fellows, as the new neurosurgeon will join the faculty and collaborate with a world-class team of physicians.

Physicians primarily admit to a 230-bed hospital. The hospital boasts state-of-the-art equipment. Block OR time will be available, and an experienced staff of APPs will be on hand to assist in clinic, inpatient practice, and the OR.

Practice Highlights :

• 10 days per month or less of call; additional compensation if call is taken more than 10 days per month
• Referrals will come from both internal and external physicians who practice in the area
• APPs, discharge team, and residency program personnel are all well-staffed and extremely capable
• Enjoy a balanced mix of clinical, research, and teaching responsibilities
• Research opportunities exist for basic science, clinical trials, and translational science; close collaboration for genomics research
