We are seeking an experience Payroll Specialist to join our team. We believe that our people are our greatest asset. We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join our team and ensure that our employees are paid correctly, on time, and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Maintain payroll records, including new hires, terminations, salary changes, and deductions.

Verify timekeeping data and resolve discrepancies.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws.

Prepare and distribute W-2s, 1099s, and other year-end tax documents.

Manage employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, and benefits.

Collaborate with HR and Finance teams to support audits and reporting requirements.

Assist with payroll system upgrades, testing, and process improvements.

Generate payroll reports for management, including labor cost analysis and forecasting.

Stay current with changes in payroll regulations and best practices.

Qualifications

Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or related field.

3–5 years of payroll processing experience (multi-state payroll experience preferred).

Strong knowledge of federal and Washington State payroll laws and regulations.

Proficiency with payroll software (ADP, Workday, Paychex, or similar).

Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, reporting).

Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Strong communication skills and ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification preferred but not required.
