Job description : We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift Forklift Operator to join our warehouse team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient movement, loading, and unloading of materials within our distribution center. The ideal candidate will possess strong warehouse experience, mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with heavy equipment operation, including forklifts, cranes, and clamp trucks. This position offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where safety, accuracy, and teamwork are paramount. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining smooth warehouse operations and supporting timely order fulfillment. Must Train on 1st shift

Duties

• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment safely to load and unload materials.
• Pick orders accurately using RF scanners and other warehouse management systems.
• Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to safety protocols outlined by OSHA standards.
• Assist with shipping and receiving processes, ensuring proper documentation and inventory control.
• Handle materials with care during movement, stacking, and storage to prevent damage.
• Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations and maintaining a clean work environment.
• Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and prioritize workload.
• Use mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Perform routine inspections of equipment such as forklifts and cranes to ensure operational safety.
• Assist in inventory counts and cycle counting activities as needed.
