Job Description :

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Facilities Engineer at the Orange VA site. Our site is near Culpeper VA in beautiful rural Orange County (1.5 hours from Washington DC)! This site is our center of excellence for Solid Rocket Motor Propulsion and Energetics development as well as high-complexity production programs.

The Company is a world-recognized aerospace and defense leader that provides propulsion and energetics to the space missile defense and strategic systems tactical systems and armaments areas in support of domestic and international markets.

Under minimal supervision conceives and plans a variety of complex facilities engineering projects providing technical advice on feasibility planning costs and time requirements. Coordinate manage follow-up and close-out capital projects. Acts as a technical adviser and expert on building HVAC system design control systems operations and maintenance. Ensures that work performed by the Companys personnel or contractors conforms to national state and local laws regulations and position will support facilities projects.

Essential Functions :

• Coordinate preparation of project drawings specifications and scope-of-work
• Estimate project costs and / or prepare capital expenditure requests
• Prepare purchase requisitions for respective projects track project costs track project progress conduct status and follow-up meetings and other administrative matters
• Construction inspection for required conformance
• Drivers License Requirement : Employees who drive on company business to carry out job-related duties must possess a valid drivers license for the class of vehicle driven and meet automobile insurability requirements of the Company.
