Foreman (Commercial Construction)

Calhoun Construction Services is a growing Kentucky-based construction firm that offers a comprehensive range of services, including pre-construction, construction management, design-build, facility maintenance, renewable energy, and general contracting. We also provide self-perform capabilities in metal stud framing & drywall, concrete, and flooring, allowing for greater control and quality assurance on projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate concrete construction activities to meet project deadlines.
• Ensure that projects are executed efficiently, within budget constraints, and in adherence to quality standards
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to optimize project outcomes
• Supervise and lead construction crews, providing guidance and direction to ensure tasks are completed safely and accurately
• Motivate and inspire team members to maintain high levels of productivity and quality workmanship
• Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project goals, expectations, and updates.
• Implement and enforce strict safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries on the construction site
• Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations
• Monitor construction processes to ensure work meets specified standards and adheres to project specifications
• Implement quality control measures to identify and address any issues promptly
• Coordinate and allocate resources effectively, including materials, equipment, and manpower
• Manage inventory and procure necessary materials in a timely and cost-effective manner
• Foster clear and open communication channels among team members, subcontractors, and project stakeholders
• Provide regular project updates to upper management and participate in progress meetings
