Key Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and organized work environment in compliance with OSHA and company standards.
  
  
• Fit, weld, and fabricate structural steel stairs, rails, and related components to precise specifications.
  
  
• Work directly from detailed shop drawings and welding symbols.
  
  
• Perform accurate layout, cutting, and preparation of steel components prior to assembly.
  
  
• MIG weld using 71M steel wire for high-strength connections.
  
  
• Collaborate with other welders and shop staff to meet production deadlines without sacrificing quality.
  
  
• Ensure final products meet AWS quality standards and project specifications.
  
  

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years experience as a welder/fitter in structural steel fabrication.
  
  
• AWS Certification required.
  
  
• Proven ability to read and interpret shop drawings and structural details.
  
  
• Strong experience with stairs, rails, and architectural steel fabrication.
  
  
• Proficient with MIG welding (71M wire).
  
  
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  
  
• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and pride in craftsmanship.
