Job Title : CNC Programmer Job Description
The CNC Programmer is responsible for generating programs using NX, MasterCam, SolidWorks, and HSM Cam Works software in a fast-paced job shop environment. This role involves interpreting blueprints, programming multi-axis machines, designing fixtures, and collaborating with toolroom personnel to ensure efficient and precise machining operations.
Responsibilities
- Interpret and analyze blueprints, sketches, and drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Generate CNC programs based on drawings, sketches, models, and other relevant data.
- Program CNC machines with 2-5 axis capabilities to optimize efficiency and precision.
- Design and machine fixtures necessary to complete machining jobs as needed.
- Assist with machine setups and configurations to ensure smooth production.
- Collaborate with toolroom personnel to acquire necessary tooling for machining projects.
- Identify and communicate quoting issues to management for resolution.
- Oversee and ensure completion of routine monthly machine maintenance.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of shop safety rules to minimize downtime.
- Ensure compliance with current shop safety regulations and procedures.
- Mentor CNC operators to enhance their knowledge and skill set in machining processes.
- Maintain an accurately detailed shop labor schedule to support labor tracking functions.
Essential Skills

This position is based out of the Ohio facility. The role requires on-site presence five days a week from 7 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm. The work environment is dynamic and involves close collaboration with both manufacturing and design engineers.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cincinnati, OH.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43.00 - $52.00 / hr.
