Software Development Engineer

What does a successful Software Development Engineering Professional do? At Fiserv, we are dedicated to transforming financial services technology to benefit our clients. As a Software Development Engineering - Professional I, you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software applications. You will work with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that align with our business goals and client needs.

What you will do:

· Design, develop, and implement software applications to support Fiserv's business goals.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.

· Perform coding, testing, and debugging of applications to ensure optimal performance.

· Maintain and improve existing codebases and peer review code changes.

· Adapt and evolve responsibilities as required to meet project demands and align with organizational objectives.

What you will need to have:

· 4+ years of experience in software development.

· 2+ years of experience in C#, VB.net or similar programming languages.

· 2+ years of experience in React, Angular, or similar JavaScript language.

· 1+ years of experience working with midrange systems.

· 2+ years of experience in SQL databases.

· 1+ years of experience in AWS, Azure, or GCP services.

· 1+ years of experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

· 1+ years of experience with Agile methodologies.

· To be considered, you must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for any visa sponsorship, including OPT, STEM, F1, or H1b, both now and in the future.

· 3+ years of an equivalent combination of educational background, related experience, and/or military experience.

What would be great to have:

· 3 years of experience in the financial services industry.

· 3+ years of experience with microservices architecture.

· 3+ years of experience with containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes.

· 3+ years of experience with performance tuning and optimization.

Important information about this role:

• This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experience helps you with your overall onboarding experience and leads to stronger productivity.
• You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role.
