Sales Research & Intelligence Analyst (Public Sector)
Vector Fleet Solutions (An Amerit Fleet Solutions Company)
Vector Fleet Solutions, part of the Amerit Fleet Solutions group and one of the leading fleet maintenance and managed fleet providers in the U.S., is seeking a detail-oriented and business-minded Sales Research & Intelligence Analyst to support our public-sector sales organization.
This role is not a software development or engineering position. Instead, it is focused on research, analysis, and sales intelligence—using data, business tools, and public information to help our sales team better understand municipal and government fleet operations and identify high-potential sales opportunities.
The ideal candidate enjoys researching organizations, synthesizing information, and preparing clear executive-level summaries that help sales leaders decide where to focus and how to engage. While this role works closely with Sales, it is not customer-facing.
Location : This is based in Charlotte, NC.
Compensation : Competitive salary pay – paid weekly, every Friday! Salary range : $60,000- $70,000

Responsibilities
Conduct analysis utilizing SQL, Excel, BI Platforms and other analytics tools to develop initiatives to improve profitability on accounts, improve operational performance, and financial analysis (Not software development)Build detailed fleet intelligence profiles (fleet size, issues, outsourcing history, stakeholders)Research key stakeholders and points of contactPrepare executive summaries and briefing documentsSupport sales planning and opportunity identificationMaintain findings in reporting toolsPassionate about data, analytics, and unlocking the story that data can tell for the businessHighly motivated to identify data quality issues, and to identify opportunities for automation between systemsPartner with key stakeholders to develop actionable performance metricsPartner with the Analytics teamIngest and review reporting from a variety of sources, determine what data is relevant to the business, and prepare and present a consolidated view.Develop ongoing key performance metrics to drive efficiency and process improvement throughout the businessEngage with client analysts and project managers to move the program / partnership forwardUse data to help forecast the capital and number of capital assets needed to sustain and grow the businessDriving & supporting existing account growth through project management, analytics, associated tasks / projects, and implementationUse data to support a growth strategy focused both on financial gain and customer satisfactionUse data & reporting to develop professional internal and external presentations. Strong Power Point experience preferred.Qualifications
3+ years experience in research, sales intelligence, or business analysisStrong written communication and executive summary skillsExperience with Salesforce, Zoom Info is a plusExperience with SQL, Excel, Power BIFamiliarity with public-sector data and procurementExperience with AI tools for summarization and research (OpenAI / Azure OpenAI a plus)Fleet or government experience preferredThis role is not a software engineering or programming position.
