Summary :
Join our dedicated team as a Nuclear Medicine Specialist, where you will perform nuclear medicine imaging and therapy, upholding the highest standards of practice and the core values of our organization.
Responsibilities :
- Conduct thorough reviews of patient history and physician’s orders; effectively educate patients about procedures, equipment, and exams to foster understanding and cooperation.
- Order, prepare, administer, store, and dispose of radiopharmaceuticals in alignment with established protocols and regulations, while continuously monitoring patient condition and responding to changes appropriately.
- Prepare necessary equipment and supplies, select suitable exposure factors and imaging parameters, and implement safety standards along with quality control procedures for equipment.
- Position patients correctly and perform imaging procedures, analyze results, address any quality issues, and ensure accurate reporting of scan results.
- Utilize critical thinking and decisive judgment to work independently in a fast-paced environment, taking appropriate actions as needed.
Requirements :
Certified Nuclear Medical Technologist (CMNT) or equivalent certification (ARRT Nuclear Medicine) required.Graduate from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technologist program is mandatory.Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer is needed before the start date, with validity extending beyond sixty days from hire.At UCHealth, we are committed to improving lives through learning, healing, and human connection.
